2012 Season - Week 22 (Cont)

Just 13 months after blowing out his ACL and MCL Adrian Peterson rushed for the second most yards in NFL history and was voted the 2012 BUMS Player of the Year. He received the same honour in 2009 and becomes the first player to be MVP twice since Priest Holmes in 2002 & 2003 and before him Marshall Faulk in 2000 & 2001. It’s his fourth start in five appearances on the end of season team. Arian Foster joins him in his third consecutive start while Marshawn Lynch & Frank Gore are the backups, for both it’s their first appearance. Rob Gronkowski leads the receivers (for his second start) ahead of Calvin Johnson (3 starts – 1 backup) and Julio Jones (1-0). Rookie RG3 quaterbacks the All-BUMS team ahead of fellow rookie Andrew Luck. Incredibly Jason Hansen makes his first appearance in the All-BUMS team in Mmm-Bop’s 21st year in the NFL. For the second year running the team is coached by Jim Harbaugh over his brother John after both made crucial decisions to change their QBs and OCs late in the season. 75% of the BUMS voted for their favourite players, making 53 different choices (see votes attached). BUMS End of Season Dinner We will be dining at The Diner, Soho on Wednesday 13th February. The table is booked for 6:30pm and we look for a big turnout with 8 BUMS saying they can make it.
